Marty is a goalkeeper who was part of the Salthill Devon side that finished as runners-up in the 2009 A Championship, earning themselves a place in the Airtricity League First Division in 2010.
Marty made 2 league appearances in Salthill's debut league season of 2010 but left the club's league squad in the summer of 2010, only returning in September 2011 when he was re-called by then manager Paul McGee.
Marty continues to turn out for Salthill's Junior side and also plays GAA with Galway club Barna.
