Four goals evenly split between Drogheda United and Bohemians in a frantic seven minute spell at the end of the first forty-five meant the spoils were shared in United Park on Friday night.
Drogheda came from two goals down in this game and in the process have picked up a point which could be vital to their survival bid come the end of the season.
Ismahil Akinade continued his good form in front of goal by heading the visitors in front in the 37th minute.
Just two minutes later, Paddy Kavanagh scored a brilliant volley to double the Bohemians lead.
At this stage, United looked in trouble and one felt that confidence would have been low, especially following the 6-0 defeat the previous week to Louth rivals Dundalk.
But Mark Kinsella's side found a lease of life and scored a quick-fire double before the half time break.
Keith Tracey finished with an effort from 25 yards to half the deficit, his first goal in League of Ireland football.
Sean Thornton levelled proceedings when he shot into the bottom corner after getting free inside the area.
Schlingermann made a great save in the second half to prevent Bohemians getting all three points when he was on hand to deny Kavanagh.
