The 23rd annual Three FAI International Football Awards were held in RTÉ studios in Dublin tonight, at which many of the country’s top players were honoured.

The Senior International Footballer of the Year award was won by Keith Andrews while the Young International Footballer of the Year was won by Wigan midfielder James McCarthy and the U21 equivalent was won for the second successive year by Robbie Brady of Hull City.

The Three International Goal of the Year was scooped by Kevin Doyle for his late volley which won all three points away to Kazakhstan last September.

On the domestic front, Sligo Rovers defender James McGuinness was rewarded for his efforts in helping the Bit o’ Red to the title last season by picking up the Airtricity League Player of the Year.

Kevin Sheedy, former Republic of Ireland midfielder, was inducted into the FAI Hall of Fame while fellow international ace Zbigniew Boniek was awarded the International Personality of the Year.
