Transfers out: Evan McMillan (St. Patrick's Athletic), David McMillan (St. Patrick's Athletic), Chris Mulhall (Shelbourne), Andy Boyle (Shelbourne), Keith Ward (Dundalk), Brian Shortall (St. Patrick's Athletic), Dwayne Wilson (Waterford United), Ciaran Kilduff (Shamrock Rovers), Greg Bolger (Sporting Fingal), Billy Brennan (Lisburn Distillery) .

A sluggish season in 2010 saw UCD win just eleven games, the Students spent the most of the year hovering just above the relegation zone, eventually finishing in seventh of the ten teams. Just seven home wins from 18 games is something Martin Russell will look to improve upon for the new season.

2011 has fared little better so far. Martin Russell has hardly had the greatest of off-seasons with the decimation of his squad of more senior players, including Captain Evan Mcmillan, playmakers Chris Mulhall and Greg Bolger, not forgetting target-man Ciaran Kilduff up front. Russell does have an army of talent coming through the ranks with a huge pool of young players to choose from- they will have to develop quickly if they are improve on last year’s effort.

The annual exodus of UCD has become common but the Students always come up trumps with finding new young talent and more of the same will be needed for the 2011 Premier Division campaign which is getting more competitive year after year.

ExtraTime Prediction: 7th 10th.
