Nations League runners up France have named their squad for the upcoming EURO 2025 qualifiers against the Republic of Ireland and Sweden.

French manager Hervé Renard has selected 24 players for their upcoming matches with Wendie Renard set to skipper the side on her return from injury.

Speaking to fff.fr about his captain, the manager said: “She has an exceptional personality with a charisma and motivation that reminds me of the best players I have had in men's football. She is a few steps ahead of women's football perhaps in her approach and her character. It's good that she's coming back and just the fact that she's here is already a lot for us.”

Les Bleues will begin their qualifying campaign when they take on the Republic of Ireland on Friday April 5 at the Saint-Symphorien stadium in Metz. They will then fly to Sweden where they will face the Olympic runners up Sweden on Tuesday April 9 in Gothenburg.

Ireland played France in a World Cup warm up in Tallaght last summer losing 3-0.
