Bohemians announce Mr Green sponsorship

BOHEMIAN FC have announced the award winning online casino Mr Green as their main sponsor for the upcoming 2014 SSE Airtricity League season. The company which is floated on the Swedish Stock exchange has over seven million players on their website and will be looking to expand into more countries in the near future.

The deal was brokered by Fortitude Sport Management and it will provide significant financial and marketing support for Bohs who continue to go from strength to strength after their previous financial troubles.

The club’s new home kit, which was voted on by the clubs fans, will feature the Mr Green logo on the front and it features alongside a green away jersey that The Gypsies will wear for away games.

Another feature of this agreement will see the Bohemians players have their training gear provided and they will be supplied with green boots to wear every time they take the field this season.

The country manager for Ireland Gavin Flood, who is an avid supporter of Bohs, was speaking at the launch and described the Phibsboro based club as “an entertaining, ambitious and innovative club – values that we share as a brand”.

“As we work to realise our long term ambition of being the number one online Casino operator in Ireland, we feel it is important to put down strong roots through prominent partnerships such as this. So I’m really looking forward to the season.

“I think Owen and the team will do great and hopefully we’ll have some fun along the way. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed that our new green boots will be a lucky charm for Jason Byrne as he chases down the league all-time goal scoring record.”

The Gypsies President Matt Devaney was also speaking positively after this deal was launched at The Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin City Centre.

“This partnership clearly strengthens our position as one of the biggest and most recognisable clubs in Irish football and the scale and nature of the deal demonstrates Mr Green’s commitment not only to Bohemian FC, but also to the brand and Irish market as well. Both myself and Owen (Heary) welcome this investment in the club and in Irish soccer."

Bohemians return to competitive action ahead of the new season this Saturday against Bray Wanderers in the Leinster Senior Cup.
