Cork City FC are pleased to announce the appointment of Paul O’Brien as Technical Director for the remainder of the 2013 Season.

O’Brien, a UEFA Pro-Licence holder, will come on board to assist the club’s coaching staff for the remainder of the season.

Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Mick Ring said: “We are delighted to welcome Paul on board. Work commitments mean that Stuart Ashton, who has fulfilled the role of caretaker manager over the past number of weeks, has had to take a step back from his involvement with the first team, so Paul will be helping the first team coaching staff for the remainder of the season.”

“The club would like to place on the record our thanks to Stuart for his assistance in recent weeks, and also thank Paul for assisting us. Paul is a vastly experienced coach, and also holds the required coaching qualifications from a licensing point of view, and we are very pleased to welcome him to Cork City FC.”

“We have had some excellent results in recent weeks, and we are all working hard to secure the best conclusion possible to the season. With only a handful of games remaining, we are looking for our supporters to come out in numbers and back the team as we aim for a top half finish.”
