Danny left Rovers at the end of the 2008 season and spent some time out of the game before joining Irish League side Newry City at the start of the 2009/10 season. He made 11 league appearances with Newry but in July 2010 he moved back to the LoI, signing for a second spell at Bray Wanderers.
He made 16 league appearances for Bray in the second half of 2010 and in 2011 he made 27 more, scoring six league goals as the club finished sixth in the Premier Division.
