About Kevin Burns
Kevin Burns is a goalkeeper with Cork City FC.
Kevin spent seven years at Seaview Celtic, and was signed for Waterford United's U-20s side after a single season at Tramore AFC.
Kevin's big chance to shine came in the 2009 FAI Cup semi final against Sligo Rovers. With Mick Devine suspended for the game, the youngster had to step in having played very little throughout the season. Burns repaid the faith of Stephen Henderson with a truly outstanding performance.
Kevin started the 2010 season as second choice keeper to Chris Konopka but soon got a run in the team. A series of superb showings kept the young keeper in the starting eleven and in August 2010, Burns signed a contract with Waterford United for the 2011 season.
On the 14th December 2011, Burns was signed by Cork City.
