About Michael Barker

Michael played with Bohemians U19s in 2011 and made his senior debut for the club in their Leinster Senior Cup win over Shamrock Rovers on 4 July 2011. Michael's league debut came the following season as a substitute against Derry City at Dalymount Park on 18 May 2012. He went on to make a further fourteen appearances that season and stayed with Bohemians for the 2013 season when he played another 13 league games for the club.

Michael was not re-signed by new Bohemians boss Owen Heary for the 2014 season and in January 2014 he moved to UCD. He made his debut for the Students against his old Bohemians team-mates on the opening night of the 2014 season and made 11 league appearances over the first half of the year. But in July 2014 he left Belfield and signed for Alan Matthews at Bray Wanderers. He made 10 league appearances for the Seagulls over the latter months of the season and netted his first league goal in August of that year, a 92nd minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Athlone Town at the Carlisle Grounds.

Michael stayed with Bray Wanderers for the 2015 season and went on to make thirty-two league appearances for the club as they finished eighth in the Premier Division. In November 2015, Michael moved to St. Patrick's Athletic under Liam Buckley.
