About Robert Hughes
Robert played Youths football at Confey FC and Cherry Orchard and played for the Orchard in the FAI Cup run of 2009 when they were knocked out in the third round by Monaghan United after a replay.
Robert signed for Shamrock Rovers at the start of the 2010 season and was a member of Rovers' A Championship side through the 2010 season. He was also an unused substitute for the two opening league games of the 2010 season.
In January 2012 Robert signed for Waterford United. He spent the season providing cover for first choice keeper, Packie Holden, and made just 2 league appearances.
