About Richie Ryan
Richie Ryan is a Irish midfielder playing for Scottish side Dundee United.
Ryan began his football career with Belvedere, an Irish youth football club based in Fairview, Dublin. In 2003, he moved to Sunderland and made two substitute appearances for the Black Cats in the English Premiership.
After being loaned to Scunthorpe, he signed for the club in 2005, and after 13 appearances, moved to Boston United. Boston United suffered a double relegation due to restrictions forced by the HM Revenue and Customs and Ryan left the club.
Ryan spent 2007-2008 season playing for Royal Antwerp before moving back to Ireland where he signed for Sligo Rovers. He spent three years with the Bit O Red, notching 112 appearances and six goals.
In November 2011, Ryan signed for Scottish Premier League side Dundee United.
