About Philip Simpson

Philip is a central defender who came through the Glentoran seconds and got his first team chance in the 2005/06 season. and was voted Young Player of the Year in 2006 by the Northern Ireland football writers. Due to cost cutting measures at The Oval, Philip was placed on the transfer list in May 2009 and moved to Lisburn Distillery that summer.

Philip played with Lisburn Distillery from the summer of 2009 and was a member of Lisburn Distillery's 2010/11 squad that competed in the 2011 Setanta Cup.
