About Stephen Relihan
Stephen joined Athlone Town in August 2009 from Dublin club Belvedere and made 3 league appearances for Brendan Place's side in his debut season. He cemented his place in Athlone's first team in 2010, making 17 league appearances and scoring his first league goal for the club, in a 6-3 defeat away to Shelbourne on 2nd July.
In 2011 Stephen was one of the more experienced players in a very young Athlone squad and made 28 league appearances under new boss Mike Kerley. The following year Stephen suffered from injury and made just 5 league appearances, scoring twice, before going to the US for work reasons in June.
