Dave’s Biography

Dave started his League of Ireland career at Galway United in 2006. He left the club at the end of the '06 season without having made a league appearance and signed for Limerick 37 at the start of 2007.

He made 27 appearances in is debut season for the Shannonsiders and made 118 league appearances over the following four years. However, injury saw him lose his first team place in 2011 and, with the signing of his brother Barry, he failed to make any league appearances that year. Dave returned to first team duties in 2012, making 10 league appearances as Limerick won the First Division title and a place in the Premier Division.

At the end of 2012 Dave left Limerick and signed for Liam Buckley at St Patrick's Athletic but he made just 3 league appearances for the Inchicore club and his contract was cancelled at the end of July 2013. He then made the switch to Cork City, signing for Tommy Dunne on 1 August 2013. But he failed to make an appearance and in November 2013, he joined Drogheda United. Dave made 19 league and cup appearances in what was a troubled season for the Drogs before leaving United Park at the end of July 2014.

In January 2015 Dave returned to the league when he signed for Kevin Doherty at Shelbourne. However, injuries and Greg Murray prevented Dave from making an appearance during the season, although he helped coach the goalkeepers at the club. Dave left the club at the end of the season.
