James’s Biography

James signed for Cobh Ramblers in 2005 from Rockmount and made an unforgettable debut against Limerick, saving a penalty and making some other great saves. He established himself as the number one choice keeper in the 2006 season. Jamie made 29 appearances in 2007 as Ramblers won the First Division title, and made 28 more as the club were relegated from the Premier in 2008.

At the close of the 2008 season Cobh were denied a league license and James moved on to Munster Senior League side Blarney United, playing in Blarney's FAI Cup third round defeat to Sporting Fingal at O'Shea Park in 2009.

In February 2011 James signed for Cork City having spent the pre-season on trial with Tommy Dunne's side and he made his league debut as a 70th minute substitute in the 5-1 win at Salthill Devon on 22 April after Mark McNulty had been sent off. He made 3 league appearances before leaving City at the end of the season.
