Darren’s Biography
Darren is a defender who joined Limerick FC from Barnsley in January of 2005. He made 8 appearances for the Shannon-side club before moving to Waterford United in 2006. He made 13 Premier Division appearances for the Blues before moving on to Athlone Town the following year, in January 2007.
The English born player made 27 appearances for Athlone in his first spell at the club before joining Galway side Mervue United in 2010. After making just 11 appearances for Mervue he rejoined Athlone in January 2011.
In his second stint at Athlone, Darren once again signed for manager Mike Kerley, who had played under at Limerick and Waterford. He played his first game on 4 March 2011 in a 0-0 draw against his former club Waterford United. Darren, who has also played 4 times for the New Zealand U20s, made just 4 appearances for Athlone in the First Division that year. Darren has yet to score a goal in League of Ireland football.
