John’s Biography
John was an English striker who started his career at Chester City in 1995. He made over 100 league appearances i four years at the club and in August 1999 he moved on to sign for Blackpool. Seven successful years followed and John hit 83 goals in 229 league appearances,
In January 2007 John left Blackpool to join Macclesfield Town but left at the end of the 06/07 season and that July he re-joined Chester City and he scored nine times in 39 league appearances during the 07/08 season.
In late July of 2008 John crossed the Irish Sea to sign for Saint Patrick's Athletic and he made his debut for Pats in a 1-0 home defeat to Drogheda United on 10 August. He also played in the UEFA Cup ties against Swedish side IF Elsborg and Hertha Berlin, and scored his only goal for the club in an FAI Cup win over Wexford Youths. But injuries disrupted his time at Richmond Park and he was released in February 2009.
