Colm’s Biography
Colm began his career as a schoolboy with Shamrock Rovers before joining Bray Wanderers in 2002. He made his first team debut away to Longford Town in October 2002 and scored his first goal against Athlone Town in August 2003. Colm also represented the Eircom league under 21s in a four nations tournament in Scotland in May 2004.
Colm made 109 league appearances in is time at the Carlisle Ground but was released by Bray Wanderers in September 2006, soon after Eddie Gormley took over as manager. Galway United manager Tony Cousins stepped in and signed the Dublin man on 2 January 2007, as soon as the transfer window opened. Colm made 16 league appearances for Galway that season
Colm signed for Sporting Fingal in 2008 and was ever present in the club's debut season in the league, making 36 league and Cup appearances. In 2009 he helped the cub to promotion from the First Division and scored a penalty in the club's 2-1 victory over Sligo Rovers in the 2009 FAI Cup final. However, in 2010 Colm found himself on the fringes of the first team and he made just 11 league appearances.
In February 2011, just weeks before the start of the new season, Sporting Fingal folded and Colm signed for Dermot Keely at Shelbourne in time for the start of the 2011 season. He made 21 league appearances as Shels won promotion to the First Division, but in January 2012 Colm moved on, signing once again for Tony Cousins, this time at Longford Town.
