Jim’s Biography

Jim is a central defender who began his career at Kilmarnock in 1994. After six years at Rugby Park, and a brief loan spell at Barnsley, he moved to Dundee United in 2000 where he made eighty league appearances over three years.

In 2003 Jim transferred to Ross County where he scored five league goals in his 72 league appearances, moving on to Queen of the South in 2006. He spent two years in Dumfries before moving north once more to sign for Dundee in 2008.

Two years at Dens Park yielded a further 41 Scottish league appearances before Jim moved to the League of Ireland in July of 2010, signing for Paul Cook at Sligo Rovers.

Jim made 21 appearances for Sligo in the latter half of the 2010 season and became a key member of the side that won the first FAI Cup final to be played at the Aviva Stadium in November of that year. Jim was also in the side that won the League Cup, defeating Monaghan United in the final.

In January 2011 Jim left the club to return to Scotland, signing for second division side Ayr United.
