Sean’s Biography

Sean is a midfielder (and younger brother of Austin) who started his League of Ireland career at Sporting Fingal where he played for the club's A Championship side in 2010.

In 2011 he spent a short period on trial at Longford Town during pre-season but then signed for Mick Cooke at Drogheda United. He made just three substitute appearances for the Drogs in 2011 but did play in the EA Sports Cup win over Bray Wanderers, scoring the goal in a 1-0 win. Having left Drogheda Sean returned to Longford Town, signing for manager Tony Cousins and making 2 league appearances in the latter weeks of the 2011 season.

In the opening half of 2012 Sean added just 2 more league appearances to his tally at Longford and he left in July of that year to join local rivals Athlone Town. He made his Athlone debut in a 1-0 defeat to Limerick on 27 July and made 5 league appearances over the remainder of the season.

In 2013 Sean joined Leinster Senior League side Tolka Rovers and played in their 2013 Leinster Senior Cup and FAI Cup campaigns. In January 2014 he returned to league action when he signed for First Division Wexford Youths. He made his Wexford debut on the opening weekend of the 2014 season and made 9 league appearances, also scoring the winner in Wexford's 1-0 win over Cobh Ramblers in the second round of the EA Cup. But a cruciate ligament injury put an end to Sean's season in May.
