Darren’s Biography

Darren played underage football with Cherry Orchard before signing for English side Reading in 2003. He failed to make an appearance for the Reading first team but was a regular member of the reserve squad and was linked with several clubs in the English league before leaving the club in the summer of 2006.

Darren returned to Ireland where he signed for First Division KIldare County in January 2007 and he made his debut in Kildare's first home game of the 2007 season at Station Road, Newbridge, on Saint Patricks Day against Monaghan United, a match that ended in a 1-1 draw.

Darren made 33 league appearances for Kildare County during the 2007 season, scoring once, and in November 2007 he signed for Shamrock Rovers where he made 11 league appearances in 2008.

Darren spent some time back in England with non-league side Solihull Motors in 2009/10 and suffered a broken leg before heading to America in 2010.

In February 2012 Darren appeared for Dundalk during their pre-season preparations, but he didn't sign a contract at the club, instead joining his former Shamrock Rovers team mate, John martin, at Leixlip United where he was part of the squad that qualified for the 2013 FAI Cup.
