Philip’s Biography

Born in England, Philip played for Charlton Athletic and Norwich City in his youth before joining Arsenal in June 2010. He played for academy sides before going out on loan to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in August 2012, initially until next January. However, his performances saw the Scottish club extend his loan deal until the end of the 2012/13 season. Roberts ended the campaign with one goal in twenty-three games. Roberts was also released by Arsenal at the end of the 2012/13 season.

Having trialled with Wycombe Wanderers, Philip joined Falkirk in the Scottish Championship in July 2013. He scored six times in thirty-two appearances before having his stay at the club cut short in March 2014 after receiving a six match ban. He stayed in Scotland and joined newly promoted Scottish Premiership side Dundee in May 2014.

Philip went on to make ten appearances for Dundee during the 2014/15 season before going out on loan to Alloa Athletic in February 2015. He went on to make seven appearances for the club before his loan ended in May. At the end of the 2014/15 season, his contract at Dundee was terminated by mutual consent.

In February 2016, Philip signed for Sligo Rovers after impressing on trial. He made his league debut for the Reds against Shamrock Rovers on the opening weekend of the 2016 season and scored his first league goal Longford Town in July. He managed two goals from 17 league appearances but left the Showgrounds at the end of the season and in January 2017 he signed for Chelmsford City in England.
