Carel ’s Biography
Born in Cameroon but raised in Cork from the age of ten, Carel was part of Ipswich's youth set up until he was released in February 2012. He joined up with Federico Mayo, a provincial team in Jerez, in Spain in August 2012, with the help of the League Football Education programme. In December 2012, he joined Cadiz, in Spain, and spent the rest of the season playing with the Caidz B and C teams.
He returned to Ireland after joining Limerick FC on the 31st of July 2013. He only made 8 league appearances for Limerick as Limerick finished 7th in the league and was released at the end of the season. On 26 January 2014 Carol signed for Ollie Horgan at Finn Harps.
Carels made his debut for Harps in a scoreless draw with Waterford United on the opening weekend of the 2014 First Division season and scored his first league goal two weeks later in a 5-0 win over Cobh Ramblers. He went on to make 18 league appearances that year.
