Anthony’s Biography

After playing his schoolboys football with Ringmahon Rangers in Cork and also representing the Cork U16 side that won Munster and All Ireland Titles in 2010/11, Anthony was signed by Limerick FC where he played in seven of Limericks A Championship games that season. He also played the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons with Limerick U19s.

He has represented Munster in the Inter pro tournament in 2011 and the Republic of Ireland U18 in five Internationals. In October 2012 Anthony captained Munster to win the FAI Interprovincial Schools Tournament at the AUL Dublin.

In July 2013 Anthony signed for Dave Hill at Cobh Ramblers and made his debut for the First Division club as a substitute in the 3-2 win over Mervue United on 3 August. He made 5 league appearances in 2013 and became a regular in the Rams' starting lineup in 2014 under new manager Martin Cambridge, adding 22 more league appearances. But in January 2015 Anthony was on the move again, traveling east to sign for Tommy Griffin at Waterford United.

With Waterford sitting rock bottom of the First Division Anthony made the leap back to Cobh in July 2015, having made just one start and 4 league appearances overall for the Blues. Ramblers were now managed by Stephen Henderson for who Anthony went on to make 11 league appearances as Cobh finished sixth in the First Division. In 2016 Anthony made 8 league appearances due to a serious injury that he suffered which sidelined him for five months of the campaign. Anthony then left Cobh in August 2017 due to work commitments.

In February 2021, Anthony signed for LOI newcomers Treaty United.
