Markus’s Biography
Markus is a Swedish forward who plays for Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga.
He began his career at Malmo FF where he made 52 league appearances in a four year spell that included a period on loan at Halmstads BK. In 2005 he moved Ajax where he spent two seasons, moving on to Werder Bremen in 2007. In 2010/11 he had a year long loan at Spanish side Racing Santander.
Markus made his senior international debut in 2006 and has since won 30 caps, representing Sweden at the 2006 World Cup and the 2008 European Championships.
