Marco’s Biography
Marco played with St Patrick's Athletic's U19 squad in 2012/13 and made his senior debut for the Saints against Salthill Devon in the EA Cup on 20 May 2013. He made 2 senior appearances before signing on loan for Waterford United in the summer transfer window of 2013.
Marco made his debut for the Blues in a 0-0 draw with Mervue United on 12 July and scored his first senior goal in a 4-1 win over Salthill Devon at Drom on 2 August. He went on to make 9 league appearances for the Blues in 2013. He returned to St Patrick's Athletic after the season finished and re-signed for them for the 2014 season.
However, Marco failed to make an appearance for St Pats during the 2014 season and in November 2014, he joined Athlone Town for the 2015 First Division campaign and went on to make 15 league appearances whilst scoring 3 goals along the way.
On October 26th, just after the finish of the First Division season, Marco signed for Real Transilvania in the AUL Premier B for 2015/16 season. However, he returned to Athlone Town in January 2016 ahead of the First Division campaign. He went on to score five times in twelve league appearances for the club, including a hat-trick against Cabinteely in April, before he left the club in June 2016.
Marco trained with Drogheda United before going on trial with Bohemians in July 2016. He played in their friendly against Newcastle United before signing on for the Premier Division club towards the end of the month. His first league appearance for the Gypsies was as a 90th minute substitute against Derry City on 22 July and he made just 3 league appearances before the season ended, all three as a last minute substitute.
