Mikael’s Biography
Mikael started his professional career at Swdeish club Umea in 2005 where he made 34 appearances before moving on to GIF Sundsvall where he made 81 appearances over his three years at the club.
In 2008 Mikael signed for Norwegian side Rosenborg where he won two league titles in 2009 and 2010. He scored an impressive 14 goals in 95 appearances with Rosenborg before signing for Celtic on 1 January 2012. He was playing with the Scottish club when he was included in the Sweden squad for the 2016 European Championship.
Mikael was first capped for Sweden in January 2008 during a 2-0 win over the USA.
