Alexei’s Biography
Alexei was born in Russia but moved to Finland aged seven when his father (also a professional footballer) signed for Finnish club FF Jaro.
He also played youths football with Jaro but began his professional career at FC Jokerit before moving on to HJK Helsinki. Alexei has also played with Lecce in Italy and in Russia with FC Saturn and Metalist Kharkiv.
In 2010/11 he made 34 league appearances on loan at Kilmarnock in the Scottish league and in August 2011 he signed for Rubin Kazan.
Alexei has made over 50 appearances for the Finnish national side.
