Derek’s Biography

Derek is a striker who was signed by Galway United after impressing manager Tony Cousins with his general play while representing the Mayo League and by scoring with ease for his club Claremorris FC. He took the eircom League by storm in his first season, 2007, claiming a Player of the Month award and scoring 8 vital goals as Galway narrowly escaped relegation.

Derek left Galway at the end of 2008 to sign for Longford Town where he made 55 league and cup appearances, and scored 17 goals, over his two seasons at Flancare Park. Derek was released by Longford Town in November 2010 and returned to his hometown club, Claremoris FC, in the Mayo League.
