Declan’s Biography
Declan was a product of the Athlone Town Youth set up and made his league debut for the club as a substitute in a 2-2 home draw against Monaghan United on the penultimate weekend of the 2006 season. He made his first start for Athlone the following week against Limerick FC at Hogan Park.
Declan left Athlone at the end of the 2008 season, having made a total of 8 league appearances, and joined local side St Peters where he spent three seasons. In June 2011 Declan joined Athlone for a second spell, signing for manager Mike Kerley, and making 12 league appearances over the latter half of the season.
Declan did not re-sign for Athlone in 2012. He was a part of the squad for St. Peter's of Athlone in their FAI Cup game aginst Cork City in May 2016.
