Derry City winger Owen Morrison has left the club with immediate effect. Morrison who stormed off after being substituted against UCD last Friday night is believed to have not turned up to the club's training session on Monday.
Derry City manager Declan Devine declined to be drawn on the reasons for his departure but said “Owen Morrison has left the club and I would like to thank him for his efforts, which he has put in this year, but he has left the club now.”
Morrison has had previous spells at Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Bradford City, Dunfermline Athletic, Sligo Rovers and Portadown.
