Watch: Christy Fagan strike gives Saints slight Euro advantage

Christy Fagan's masterful second half strike earned St Patrick's Athletic a richly-deserved 1-1 draw away to Dinamo Minsk in their Europa League Second Qualifying Round first leg.

The Saints were heavily unfavoured to get anything out of the trip to Belarus, with bookmakers giving odds of 12/1 to win or 4/1 to draw.

Which may have resulted in a welcome windfall for a few canny gamblers, but more than likely only reams of abuse for a Dinamo side who presumably busted more than a few accumulators.

The home side had started positively, taking just 20 minutes to take the lead through a well-taken curling effort from Vladimir Korytko.

Fagan – who is now the Saints' all-time leading scorer in Europe – was not to be upstaged, picking up the ball in a similar position and finishing more emphatically still.
